False claims by malicious media outlets aim to discredit security forces

p4 2

Subversive media outlets like Khit Thit are circulating false information alleging that security forces stopped around 20 young pedestrians without cause at the junction between Natmauk Township and Myothit Township in Magway Region on 23 April and forcibly conscripted them into military service. Additionally, the outlet claims that security forces entered houses in four villages, arrested youths, and took them away.
However, according to a security officer, these claims are unfounded, and no such incidents occurred in the township. Security forces, in collaboration with residents, conducted patrols and security checks in the villages to prevent terrorists from finding refuge and to maintain peace and stability.
Reports suggest that terrorists and malicious media outlets are deliberately spreading false information to sow panic among the public and to distort the perception of the security forces responsible for safeguarding the region. — MNA/TKO
