A donation ceremony for security forces undertaking national security and defense duties in Rakhine State, public servants serving in Rakhine State and ethnic nationals temporarily seeking refuge from ARSA extremist terrorists attack was held in Bayintnaung Guest House where Commander-in-Chief of Defence Service Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended and delivered a speech.
The Senior General said Alethankyaw event that occurred in 1942 where local ethnic nationals were attacked, driven out and lands lost must not happen again and Tatmadaw will completely preserve and protect Myanmar’s sovereignty. Not only the security forces, all public servants and the entire people must defend together with patriotism. While the people in Rakhine State will be assisted to live with peace of mind and work for their livelihood, local people are urged to return to their own places and work for the development of self as well as the region. Present events caused losses and suffering and everything will be done to alleviate these as well as to develop the region. Today’s donors are honored and appreciated for their sympathy and spirit of nationalism. The Senior General added that he wished for the eternal existence of such spirit.
Senior military officers accepted the donation amounted Ks 1,942.54 million in total at the ceremony presented by families of the Tatmadaw and donors.
