Driver dies when vehicle plunges into Palace Moat

A driver died when the car he was driving fallen into the palace moat in Aung Myay Thar San township in Mandalay on 25 August.
A Mitsubishi Pajero en route to west from east driven by Maung Kanada Thurain, 23, plunged into the palace moat when he lost control of the vehicle between 19th and 66th streets.
A team comprising the officials and staff from the Fire Services Department and the people from charity associations rushed to the victim’s rescue. They took him to the Mandalay General Hospital. However, the driver succumbed to the injury he got in the accident. He died soon after he arrived at the hospital. The vehicle could be pulled out from the moat at 7:55 am.
