Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Nai Thet Lwin received Mr Yu Fei, the Deputy Inspector of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, and party in his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
During the meeting, they discussed religious freedom of ethnic people, bilateral ties in economic and social affairs, teaching of ethnic culture and literature, law and regulations for ethnic rights and poverty alleviation, strategic plans for ethnic rights and mutual economic interests of Myanmar and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
On 10 October, the Chinese delegation also held talks with officials from National Museum in Yangon about conservation of traditional heritages of ethnic people, organizing exhibitions, development plans and restoration of intangible cultural heritages. —MNA(Translated by Aung Khin)
