Golf Open Junior and Professional Tournament held

The second day of the Golf Open Junior and Professional Tournament was organized by the Myanmar Golf Federation and the award ceremony was held at the Yangon Golf Course (Danyingon) in Yangon yesterday.
After the competitions, the awarding ceremony was held, and Myanmar Golf Federation Chairman U Ko Ko Aye gave a farewell speech.
Next, awarding ceremony for those under 12-year-old age was held and U Ye Lwin gave prices to the third-place winner Phone Myint Hein (Taungoo) who hit 173 shots, second place winner Chwel Wann (Yangon) who made 172 shots, and champion Htoo Myat Aung (Myeik) who has hit 171 shots in total.
Then, U Aung Ko Zaw presented awards to U-14 golfers and Kaung Htet (Yangon) who hit 160 shots got the third prize, while Aung Hein Zaw (Sittway) who struck another 160 won the second prize and Pyae Sone Aung (PyinOoLwin) won the first prize respectively.
Likewise, Daw Myint Myint Than gave medals to the under 18-year-old women golfers and Aye Su Aung (Yangon) got the third prize while Su Nhin Phyu (Yangon) grabbed the second and Moe Pyae Sone Khin (Yangon) won the first prize.
Next, officials presented awards to the under 18-year-old men’s golfers and Hein Naing Zin (Yangon) won the third prize, while Kaung Pyae Sone Kyaw (Taungoo) earned the second and Aung Min Thant (Mawlamyine) achieved the first prize.
After that, Myanmar Golf Federation and Myanmar PGA Chairman U Ko Ko Aye presented an award to Kyaw Thet Oo who won the first prize with a total of 141 shots, three shots less than the standard in the Professional level tournament.
Young golfers from various Regions and States including Taungoo, Magway, PyinOoLwin, Myeik, Dawei, Shwebo, Sittway, and Mandalay participated in the tourney. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
