A ceremony to mark International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer 2017 was held yesterday morning at U Uttama Hall in Sittway.
In attendance at the ceremony were the state minister for agriculture, livestock, forestry and mines, the state advocate, departmental officials, the senior advisor from the United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative, trainees and trainers for nursing and midwife training school.
During the ceremony, the state minister for agriculture, livestock, forestry and mines U Kyaw Lwin delivered an opening speech and Mr. Christopher Carter, senior advisor from UNDP Resident Representative read a message from UNDP.
State Minister U Kyaw Lwin also presented prizes to the winners for the competition of high-level composition to mark International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.
