Sesame growers from Kyaukse township, Mandalay region, are glad to get bumper yield and a good price.
The sesame growers need to compact the soil to grow the sesame. Concerning cultivation, there are many methods of cultivation, such as sowing or rowing methods. After growing for 18 days, the growers need to conduct subtraction and separation steps. If it is necessary, the growers should spray the pesticide and add fertilizers. The harvest of sesame is about 14 or 20 baskets per acre depending upon the land and weather condition, said U Khin Maung Aye, a grower from Kula village.
