The coronavirus testing is available at the Test & Care Ayeyawady Centre (Mandalay) starting from 22 December, the Ayeyawady Centre reported.
The centre will be open between 8 am and 12 pm and between 2 pm and 4 pm from 22 December for those residents suffering the COVID-19 symptoms (loss of smell) in Aungmyaythazan, Chanayethazan, Mahaaungmye, Patheingyi, Chanmyathazi, Pyigyidagon and Amarapura townships.
Those who want to test at the centre must fill the information through URL > https://bit.ly/37qg2My in advance, and they will be informed of the confirmation of the appointment date and time for testing, QR code and patient ID through SMS.
Those who will be tested must come to the centre through ambulance owned by philanthropic organizations in Mandalay district. Arrival by personal vehicle and motorcycle are restricted in the centre. Furthermore, Test & Care centre will not grant any transport permit in the region. Those having loss of smell, who tested negative, cannot come back to their home immediately, and they have to stay at quarantine camp and will have an examination for the second time in 48 hours. If they tested negative again, they could go back home. For those test positive, they will have to stay at the quarantine centre set by the Ministry of Health and Sports to receive treatment.
The Test & Care Ayeyawady Centre (Mandalay) will be available for those people who have a loss of smell to avoid unnecessary spreading in the centre, the centre notified. (Translated by Ei Myat Mon)
