MGH admits over 55,000 patients in 2014

According to the statistics, Mandalay General Hospital admitted over 50,000 patients in 2014.
Due to allotment of larger amount of health budget by the government as of 2013, the hospital could install modern hospital and medical equipment so as to provide health care services to the patients, medical superintendent Dr U Win told reporters.
“As of 2013, the hospital has been giving free surgical operations and test to any patient at the emergency unit. Health staff are giving health care facilities to patients,” he added.
The number of patients in 2014 is the largest during five years from 2010 to 2015. The hospital admitted 38,526 patients in 2010, 41,758 patients in 2011, 47,084 in 2012, 52,776 patients in 2013 and 55,099 in 2014.—Aung Ye Thwin
