Min Thu Wun Foundation donates one-storey school to Kungyangon Tsp

The opening ceremony for a new school building donated by former President U Htin Kyaw, Patron of Min Thu Wun Foundation, and wife Daw Su Su Lwin, on behalf of the foundation, was held in Kan Wine Village, Kungyangon Township, Southern District of Yangon Region, yesterday morning.

First, the ceremony was formally opened by the donors, the former President and wife, with Yangon Region Hluttaw representative 2 U Aung Min Min, Deputy Director for Office of the Director of Education (Yangon) U Soe Thike, and Min Thu Wun Foundation Secretary U Aung Kyaw Soe. Thereafter, the donors with their families and invited persons looked around the building.
In the second part of the ceremony, U Htin Kyaw delivered a speech focusing on the purpose of the donation. The school building was then handed over to Ministry of Education by the foundation’s Vice Chairman U Myo Myint Aung, which was accepted Deputy Director U Soe Thike accepted and he gave a certificate of honor in return. Next, Township Education Officer Daw Aye Aye Thike spoke words of gratitude for the donation.
The building is a one-storey structure measuring 60 ft by 30 ft, with a construction cost of K25 million. Former President U Htin Kyaw, wife Daw Su Su Lwin and family made the donation as an act of merit for their parents and on behalf of the Min Thu Wun Foundation. — Tun Tun Soe
