Authorities are working to resume cattle export to China in January next year, said U Min Aung Aye, the director at 105th Mile Border Trade Post in Muse Township. Myanmar cattle merchants requested for bringing back these animals stranded at the border trade zone in Shan State due to the lack of demand from Chinese merchants and the high feeding cost amid COVID-19 outbreak.
“Cattle trade between Myanmar and China is expected to resume legally next month, and that the merchants need to review their request,” said U Min Aung Aye.
