Myanmar, China to cooperate in Kyaukpyu deep sea port project

Nay Pyi Taw, 16 Dec — President U Thein Sein received a delegation led by China’s Vice President Mr. Li Yuanchao at the Credentials Hall of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
They exchanged views on the China-Myanmar comprehensive strategic relationship, cooperation in the communications sector and the Kyaukpyu deep sea port project, equitable exchange of assistance, effective implementation of mutual  agreements, enhanced investment in agriculture and other sectors, infrastructure development, people-to-people exchanges, cooperation in restoring peace and stability in the border area, and exchanges of visits of leaders of the two countries.
Also present at the call were Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, U Kyaw Hsan, U Ohn Myint, U Zeyar Aung, U Win Myint, U Aye Myint Kyu, Dr Kan Zaw and U Than Htay. The Chinese vice president was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Yang Houlan. MNA
