Myanmar food industry invited for showcase in HK Food Expo 2021

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has invited Myanmar businesses in the food industry to display their products at Hong Kong’s Food Expo 2021.
The HKTDC has sent the invitation letter to the Myanmar Consulate-General in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong’s Food Expo 2021 will take place for five days from 12 to 16 August 2021 in Hong Kong.
The expo aims to boost Myanmar’s food export and promote and connect directly with the countries like China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
The pavilion is 90 square feet wide, and each room will be 4.5 square feet, and about 20 companies could display their products at the event.
The expo will showcase many products such as food and beverage, food packaging, labelling, safety and logistics, goods and services, food production, equipment and related services, Halal foods and drinks from mainland China, India, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the United States and Viet Nam.
Under the programme of Convention and Exhibition Industry Subsidy Scheme, the participating companies will receive funding of 50 per cent of exhibition fees or Hong Kong dollar 10,000 (equivalent with US$ 1,281).
The exhibitors in the trade hall need to display their products for a year at HKTDC online marketplace, where registered customers from all over the world are buying.
The entrepreneurs interested in displaying at food expo 2021 need to register through not later than 9 March. (Translated by Hay Mar)
