A total of 17 Thai nationals — 16 migrant workers and one prisoner — were sent back to their homeland through the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (2) yesterday.
Among 16 migrant workers, seven were males and nine were females, and they officially worked in Myanmar.
Local officials arranged their repatriation in coordination with Thai counterparts.
On the same day, a Thai national who finished serving his prison sentences in Kengtung Prison was also handed over to the Thai authorities.—Yar Sae (IPRD) (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
