Myanmar students show Myanmar culture, tradition at Mae Fah Lauang University


The Myanmar Culture Day and Exhibition was staged at Mae Fah Lauang University, Chaing Rai District, northern Thailand, on 3 April afternoon.
All attendees saluted the State Flags of both countries, which after President Associate Professor Dr Vanchai Sirichana presented prizes to outstanding Myanmar students.
On behalf of international students, Mr Muhammad Khalid Wardana of Malaysia read out the paper on reviewing attitude over Myanmar while a female Myanmar student spoke about Myanmar’s Maha Thingyan festival.
Myanmar students presented traditional dances and chorus dances in Thingyan festival. The guests were served with Myanmar traditional snacks and foods namely Monhinga, Montlonyaypaw, Montlethsaung and so on. They all enjoyed water-throwing festival.
More than 300 Myanmar students are pursuing education at Mae Fah Lauang University.–Maung Yin Kyay
