The preservation of the country’s natural resources was one of the issues brought up by several lawmakers at yesterday’s Amyotha Hluttaw meeting in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw 7th session 13th day meeting, a motion by U Pe Chit of Yangon Region constituency (9) urging the government to prevent the destruction and loss of natural resources in Myanmar as a national duty was discussed by Naw Chris Tun @ Dr. Arr Kar Moe of Kayin State constituency (7), Daw Htu May of Rakhine State constituency (11), U Tun Tun Oo of Mandalay Region constituency (2), Daw May Than Nwe of Ayeyawady Region constituency 11, U Sa Khin Zaw Lin of Ayeyawady Region constituency 2 and U Shayrel Shu Maung of Kayah State constituency 2. Discussion on the motion will be continued today.
Also discussed yesterday was a question on a judiciary matter raised by U Tin Aung Tun of Magway Region constituency (5). The query was answered by Union Supreme Court Judge U Myint Aung. Questions on the education sector raised by U Wai Sein Aung of Rakhine State constituency 1 and U Sai San Aung of Shan State constituency 12 were answered by Deputy Minister for Education U Win Maw Tun.
The 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw 7th session 14th day meeting will be held today.
