President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, First Lady Smt. Savita Kovind and party who were on a goodwill visit to Myanmar visited Kali Bari Temple in Pabedan Township, Yangon yesterday morning at 9:40 a.m.
The President of India, First Lady and party offered prayers with flowers, water and oil lamps and then inspected the temple compound.
Next, the President of India, First Lady and party pay homage to the Tomb of Bahadur Shah Zafar on Zewaka Road, Dagon Township.
Afterwards, the President of India attended the 5th Enterprise India Show held at Lotte Hotel, Pyay Road.
Later at 4 p.m. the President of India, First Lady and party visited the Secretariat or Secretariat Building on Theinbyu Road.
From there the President of India, First Lady and party went to International Dhamma Giri Vipassana Academy Dhamma Joti Vipassana Meditation Centre in Bahan Township.
There President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind opened Dhamma Yeiktha 2 Building by pressing a button and then conducted Vipassana meditation. Officials of International Dhamma Giri Vipassana Academy Dhamma Joti Vipassana Meditation Centre presented a portrait as a gift.
