1. The Ministry of Health and Sports, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, and a combined team of experts began inspecting factories, workshops and workplaces starting from 20-4-2020 to check whether they are adhering to regulations and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Sports to prevent COVID-19. Those that passed the inspections were allowed to reopen.
2. Initial inspection was not carried out at some workplaces, including private businesses with a small workforce, small-scale emerging businesses and household businesses.
Small task groups consisting of officials from township-level committees for containment and emergency response against COVID-19 in Nay Pyi Taw Council and the states and regions worked together with the General Administration Department, MoLIP and MoHS to inspect the remaining workplaces starting from 16-5-2020.
3. Factories, workshops and workplaces are required to follow regulations and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Sports for effective prevention against the spread of COVID-19.
Similar task forces comprised with township-level committees against COVID-19, the GAD, MoLIP and MoHS will continue conducting surprise inspections to the workplaces for these regulations and recommendations.
