Senior assistant teacher from Hlinethaya BEHS No 2 selected as PMCA recipient

The Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation cooperates with the Teachers Council of Thailand, the Equitable Education Fund and relevant agencies in organizing the award presentation ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand, on 17 October. It will be the fifth award presentation of the foundation.
Daw Aye Su Win, a senior assistant teacher from No 2 Basic Education High School in Hlinethaya Township was chosen as 2023 PMCA recipient. The teacher, an English major graduate, develops school activities to help students read, using books in the school library. She teaches students to grow seasonal vegetables and fruit plants so that they can eat healthy food with good nutrition. In 2017, the 38 years old female teacher tutored her students for the ASEAN Cyber Kids Camp and her students were awarded the 3rd prize for using the scratch programme.
She was chosen as an awardee for her outstanding efforts to change students’ lives.
The foundation selected winners in 11 Southeast Asian countries to present five kinds of awards: a Princess Maha Chakri Award Medal, a gold honorary brooch, a Princess Maha Chakri Award Plaque, a prize money of USD10,000 and a certificate of honour.
Daw Yi Mon Soe from BEMS in Kya-ingyi Village of Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, was chosen as awardee for 2015. — Aik Thon
