The Irrawaddy news spread misinformation

A malicious media outlet, The Irrawaddy, has spread false information that the Rakhine State government released on 5 December a statement to take action against those who gave comments and shared the news covered by Rakhine State-based news agencies.
An official of the Rakhine State government claimed that they did not release such a statement and that it was just fake news made up by malicious media that wanted to disturb the government’s mechanisms and cause misconception. — MNA/KTZH
