Theatrician-cum-comedian U Win Naing (Anupyinya) passes away

Theatrician, comedian and film actor U Win Naing (Anupyinya) died at Seezayeik Old Age Care Centre in Pale Myothit of Mingaladon Township at 6:30 am on 29 April.
Vice-Chairman U Aye Kyu Lay of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization offered his condolences to veteran artiste U Win Naing, who died at the age of 74, over his Facebook page.
Moreover, Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw U Hla Taw of Anupyinya Seezayeik Old Age Care Centre also posted on his Facebook that U Win Naing passed away at 6:30 am.
The late artiste entered the entertainment field with the name of Toe Win as a comedian for the Sein Mya Maw Anyeint owned by his uncle, and he changed his name to Win Naing. He performed for Moe Win and Thawda Win Zat Thabin troupes. He wrote articles for magazines and journals and entered the film arena with the contact of Director Maung Ni Lwin (Thabyu).
The deceased comedian was suffering from a stroke and moved to Seezayeik Old Age Care Centre from the Yuzana Garden City at the end of 2019.
A funeral service was held at Yayway Cemetery at 5 pm on the same day. — TWA/KTZH
