Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko received outgoing People’s Republic of China (PRC) Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang and party at the ministry’s guest hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
In the meeting Myanmar-China bilateral cooperation in culture, assistance provided by China for repair of Bagan pagodas damaged by earthquake, repair of Thatbyinnyu Pagoda, China’s technical and financial assistance toward repair of National Theatre in Yangon, support of PRC toward Myanmar’s submission for inclusion of Bagan region in world heritage list during the 2019 Azerbaijan World Heritage Conference, cooperation in repairing and maintaining of ancient buildings in Rakhine State MraukU region, submission for inclusion of MraukU region in world heritage list and increasing future bilateral cooperation in religion and culture were discussed. —MNA(Translated by Zaw Min)
