Union Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population U Thein Swe received French Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Christian Lechervy and Vice President of the France-based IDEMIA company Mrs Sabine Dominget at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the meeting, they discussed the implementation of Myanmar’s e-Government system, along with e-ID, biographic and biometric for unique ID for each citizen.
IDEMIA is a major technological player in the fields of identity management and authentication, and it has developed cutting-edge technologies and services leveraging artificial intelligence, biometrics and cryptography. Discussions with IDEMIA also focused on its assistance for Myanmar’s e-Government through French Embassy in Myanmar, training programmes and future cooperation in technologies.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
