Union Minister U Win Khaing leaves for Thailand to attend 37th AMEM, related meetings

 

Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Win Khaing left Yangon for Thailand by flight yesterday morning to attend the 37th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting and related meetings, which are scheduled to take place on 4-6 September in Bangkok, Thailand.

Union Minister U Win Khaing is going to attend the 37th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting and related meetings, the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Energy Business Forum, the dialogue between ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meetings (AMEM) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the 2019 ASEAN Energy and ASEAN Energy Forum.
During the meetings, the Union Minister will discuss the ASEAN Power network, ASEAN Gas Pipeline, ASEAN Coal Energy sector, urbanization and nuclear power, regional energy policy and management, renewable energy, the progress of energy savings and effective utility, which are the sub-seven sectors for ASEAN areas of ASEAN Energy Cooperation as of 2016-2020. — MNA
