74th Anniversary of Tatmadaw (Navy) commemoration ceremony, alms offering ceremony held

A military parade commemorating the 74th Anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Navy) was held yesterday morning at the Naval Training Command Headquarters in Thanlyin Station yesterday.
Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Moe Aung, Chief of Staff (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Naval Base Commanders and senior officers from Thanlyin Station attended the ceremony.
The Commander-in-Chief (Navy)took salute and inspected the parade companies who took four oaths of allegiance.
Afterwards, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) delivered a speech to mark the anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Navy) and left the parade.
Similarly, Paritta reciting ceremony plus alms offering ceremony was held at Mahanawanika Zayamingala Temple at the Thanlyin Station.
Members of the Sangha headed by Sayadaw Bhaddanta Teja, patron of Myo Oo Satpyitkwin Monastery attended the Paritta reciting ceremony.
Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung and wife Daw Aye Khaing Nyunt, Chief of Staff (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint and wife, Naval base commanders and wives, senior officers from Thanlyin Station also attended the ceremony.

First, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and those present at the ceremony received the Five Precepts from the Sayadaw and then listened to the sermons delivered by the Venerable Sayadaw.
After that, they offered alms and donations to the monks and listened to the Metta Sutta recited by Sangha.
After that, the congregation shared the merits gained and then donated alms to the Sayadaws. — MNA
