Court sentences 3 human traffickers to 10-year imprisonment

Monywa District Court sentenced three people to 10-year imprisonment with labour each for their involvement in trafficking a girl to a Chinese man, on 15 March.
The three suspects Khin San Wai (aka) Khin Than Wai, Poe Poe (aka) Poe Ei Win and Hla Shwe (aka) Chit Swe Oo from Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region promised Ma…, aged 20, from Monywa Township of Sagaing Region a well-paid job and sold her to a Chinese man.
The case was opened against the three suspects at Monywa Myoma Police Station under Section 24/32 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law. Then, the court handed down the sentence after Khin San Wai (aka) Khin Than Wai, Poe Poe (aka) Poe Ei Win and Hla Shwe (aka) Chit Swe Oo were found guilty under Section 24/32 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law on 15 March. — MNA
