Narcotic drugs seized in Mohnyin, Myeik and Mudon townships

On 19 August evening, a coordinated team including the Anti-Drug Police Force members stopped and examined a motorcycle driven by Zaw Tun Oo (aka) Phoe Zaw near the Ingyingon village entrance of Ingyingon village-tract in Mohnyin Township and seized 1.1 kilogrammes of heroin from the suspect.
In addition, the Anti-Drug Police Force members raided a house of Tun Maung, located in Myeik village (South) of Myeik village-tract (South) of Myeik Township and captured 4,000 stimulant pills on the scene at 6 pm on the same day.
Similarly, a combined team consisting of the Mon State Police Force confiscated 10,000 stimulant tablets from a motorcycle driven by Nay Htet Lin on 19 August noon, while performing the inspection near the foot of seven mountains on the Mudon-Chaunghnitkhwa Road in Myoma Ward 4 of Mudon Township. The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the MPF stated. — MNA
