Saw Shwe Lay defeat Golden Belt Champion Saw Ba Hain in Myanmar Traditional Boxing Challenge

Shwe Aunglan winner Saw Shwe Lay beat Golden Belt Champion Saw Ba Hein in the Myanmar Traditional Boxing Challenge held at Theinbyu Indoor Stadium in Yangon yesterday afternoon.
The challenge fights, organized by Lethwei Journey Group, were held with five bouts. Saw Shwe Lay and Saw Ba Hein were in the same weight.
Saw Shwe Lay landed continuous punches and kicks on Saw Ba Hein. Saw Ba Hein got injuries in the first round and asked for a break.
Referees filled up the remaining seconds in the first round due to the injury time.
In the second round, Saw Ba Hein fell due to a left kick by Saw Shwe Lay, and as Saw Ba Hein could not continue to compete and Saw Shwelay won by knockout.
Next, another Golden Belt Champion Win Tun (Mandalay) fought against Thura Ye Aung (Mudon). They proved their endurance with punch skills and became the audience’s favourite.
In addition, as a special three-round event, Wan Chone(Smart Fight) won by knockout in the first round due to smart kicks.
In a special four-round event, Saw John (Naga Marn) and Saw William (Doh Yoyar) did not make mistakes in the first round, but in the second round, Saw John punched and knocked out.
In the new generation event, the thrilling fights were fan favourite as well.—Bala Soe
