Grand ceremony to enshrine religious objects into reliquary in the centre of jewelled throne of Maravijaya Buddha image

A ceremony to enshrine religious objects into the reliquary in the centre of the jewelled throne of the Maravijaya Buddha image took place in the precinct of Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday morning.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Sangha led by Presiding Nayaka of Mingala Zeyon Pali Tekkatho Monastery Agga Maha Pandita Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi, Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and devotees.
Leading donor the Senior General paid homage to the members of Sangha led by Pali Sayadaw at the briefing hall.
Then, the Senior General and party enshrined the horoscope chart of the Buddha, precious jewellery and international silver coins donated by devotees, well-wishers and donors into the reliquary in the centre of the jewelled throne of the Buddha image keeping in line with the customs and sprinkled fragrant powder on the religious objects.
After reciting the Gathas to launch the ceremony, the Senior General and party listened to the Buddha sermons recited by the Sayadaws.
During the specific period, the Pali Sayadaw and the Senior General put the golden boxes containing the horoscope chart of the Buddha, precious jewellery and international silver coins donated by devotees, well-wishers and donors and stone inscriptions into the designated reliquaries in the centre of the jewelled throne of the Buddha image following the customs.
The Pali Sayadaw and the Senior General sprinkled scented water on the reliquaries.
Then, the Sayadaws recited Zeya Mingala Gathas and the master of ceremony read out the merit-sharing messages and they all shared merits.
The enshrining ceremony was successfully marked with grand ceremonial gold and silver confetti. — MNA/KTZH
