The Channel News Asia filmed a travel documentary in and around ancient Bagan, the UNESCO Heritage Site of Myanmar.
On October 8, the Singapore-based television crew shot the scenes of Bagan temples, hot balloon ride and interview with a well-known puppeteer U Sein Myint Aung.
The documentary will also include puppetry, production of lacquer wares, hand-paintings, Mount Poppa, the pantheon of spirits including 37 Nats and the local gods.
The CNA’s Secrets of Empire programme will also air an interview with archaeologist Dr Pye Phyo Kyaw at the Bagan Archaelogical Museum.— Myo Win Aung (Translated by Aung Khin)
