Don’t forget gratitude to oceans for daily life

The water area of the world occupies 70 per cent whereas the land area is some 30 per cent. The larger area of oceans gives food and natural resources to human beings and helps biodiversity species live safely.
Oceans can control climatic conditions which generally affect the planet Earth as well as the lifestyle of humans. The oceans are natural resources for the creation of employment for some 40 million people in ocean-based industries by 2030. Those employees are working in marine product industries which supply foods to humans.
“Planet Ocean: tides are changing”, is the theme for World Oceans Day 2023 that the UN is joining forces with decision-makers, indigenous leaders, scientists, private sector executives, civil society, celebrities, and youth activists to put the ocean first. World Oceans Day reminds everyone of the major role the oceans have in everyday life.

The nature of humans cannot stand tall without land and water. According to global histories, land and water are treating the life of humans as well as the whole world. As such, no one should violate the way of the mundane world as well as the natural environment which comprises water, land, air and fire. Hence, all humans should be grateful to the water, the mother of oceans.

Oceans create transport facilities for the shipping of commodities and passengers from one place to another. It can be said that one who can control oceans across the world can be defined as conquering the world. It is because the oceans occupy two-third area of the world. Hence, those who manage their businesses such as maritime transport, fishery industry, exploration of ecotourism, above and underwater natural resources production and so on in the oceans are great bosses in the world economic sector.
The commemorative day was recognized by the United Nations in 2008. According to the information through Internet pages, the United Nations will host a hybrid of the annual event on 8 June 2023, hosted in-person at the UN Headquarters in New York, the United States of America, to be broadcasted live.
As part of efforts to enable global people not to forget the gratitude of oceans, most countries will mark World Oceans Day 2023. Actually, oceans are contributing to the daily lifestyle of humans and easing the impacts of natural disasters. The international day supports the implementation of worldwide Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fosters public interest in the protection of the ocean and the sustainable management of its resources.
