A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a Mitsubishi Fuso passenger bus driven by Win Min Oo (aka) Pyalon accompanied by Thet Lwin Htun (aka) Ko Thet at the combined checkpoint of Nantsiaung village in Mohnyin township at 3:45 pm on 23 November.
A total of 2,000 kilogrammes of ammonium nitrate were found in the car.
At 11:55 am on 24 November, Police Force searched a Mitsubishi Triton car driven by Sai Kyaw Khaung on Namhsam-Kolem Road in Namhsam township and captured 60 kilogrammes of brown opium powder.
Offenders are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it is learnt. — MNA
