In addition to climbing trips to snow-capped mountains of Kachin State, Putao‘s popular destinations are also attractingmore and more visitors from around the country including from Yangon and Mandalay, said Ko Moe Min Thein (Putao) from Trekking in Myanmar Travel and Icy Mountain Transport Service.
Overall, there are loads of visits to well-known tourist attraction sites, but climbing trips are still few, he said.
“Currently, the majority of visitors are locals. Especially, visitors from Yangon and Mandalay have been visiting prominent destinations since November. Visitors from Lashio and Muse came to take climbing trips to snow-capped mountains,” said Moe Min Thein(Putao).
