The Yangon Electric Supply Corporation (YESC) is actively removing unauthorized fibre and wi-fi cables.
It has previously been announced that companies responsible for the unofficial cables on lampposts must remove them by their own arrangement.
However, fibre and wi-fi cables that have not been removed despite the announcement are being taken down by electrical engineers, staff, and employees from licensed telecom companies.
Unauthorized fibre and wi-fi cables were removed in Dagon Myothit (North), Kamayut, and Thakayta townships on 4, 20, and 24 February, respectively. — TWA/ TRKM
