CCTVs to check visitors’ safety in Kantha lake

CCTVs will be installed in Kantha lake, which is one of the recreation areas in Magway town for the safety of the visitors, according to Magway Township Municipal Committee. A total of 32 CCTVs will be fitted on eight lamp posts, which were erected around north and east of the lake. Out of 32, four CCTVs will be put on each lamp post. “The plan is being implemented to install the CCTVs after making discussion with Magway township police force and CCTV expert Ko Aung. We have also planned to upgrade the CCTVs being installed on the traffic lights. So, we will replace those CCTVs in Kantha lake,” said U Pho Ni, chairman of Magway Township Municipal Committee.
About 53 lamp posts, 25 benches with roof and nine mini playgrounds were jointly implemented by the government and the public. Magway residents planted about 1,200 trees and the Fisheries Department released the fish species, according to Magway Township Municipal Committee. — Zayyatu (Magway) (Translated by Hay Mar)
