MoHT plans to launch 4 tourist destinations for tourism recovery

Four tourist destinations will be launched this month to resume suspended tourism, according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
Myanmar’s tourism industry has nearly halted because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. To resume tourism, the Ministry has planned to launch four tourist attraction places this month.
As an initial attempt, the authorities implemented a cruise trip in the first week of December. They will also implement river passenger ship trip in the second week of December, inland convoy and pelagic trips in the last week of December, according to the statement of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
Regarding the implementation of tourism destinations, the Ministry will launch the goals depending upon the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism also urged the Myanmar Tourism Federation and his brotherhood associations to assist in preparation for successful arrangement of the trips.
For the development of the Myanmar tourism industry, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has carried out the adventure sports tourism, food tourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism, agriculture-based tourism, river cruises and train tourism, inland convoy and marine tourism, and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism.
